CAD Supervisor - Manpower Middle East

We are currently recruiting for the position of CAD Supervisor .The job will be Abu Dhabi based



Responsible for the coordination and management of a team of CAD designers, responsible for planning, design, generation and controlling of production and installation drawings for electric / pneumatic OEM, Retrofit & After Market projects for GTS (Gas Turbine/Compressor Air Filtration + Air Inlet projects), in line with customer specifications and technical/ engineering requirements, regulations, quality policies and delivery due dates.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


• Coordinate & plan the CAD work to be produced and released on time: define due dates, chase missing information, follow-up schedule & inform Project Engineering team & Operations accordingly.
• Report to Drafting Manager in terms of projects execution & status, ensure efficient communication with all affected parties (sales, engineering, project engineers, change control, suppliers, and subcontractors). Ensure drawings are clear & compliant with customer & company’s requirements. Ensure correctness & completeness of prepared drawing packages coming from the team & eventual subcontractors and towards production.
• Update drafting procedures per local/world-wide engineering standards and product specifications (ISO, EN, etc.), maintain drawing formatting in TeamCenter DataBase.
• Assist in new product developments & redesigns. Contribute to product performance through improvement proposals & programs.
• In close cooperation with the Systems Application Engineer (SAE), ensure that CAD Designers are all operating according to the same set rules = same design rules through the use of same tools.
• Follow-up GTS CAD methods & tools and propose updates where required (procedures, standards, manuals, seeds) in coordination with GTS SAE.
