Senior Preservation Specialist - Nawah
Responsible for establishment and maintenance of a Plant Preservation oversight program, to provide assurance that the preservation activities of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) Structures, Systems and Components (SSCs) until plant turnover are being carried out by the Prime Contractor (PC) in a timely manner as per a set of approved manuals, procedures, and specifications, and ensure that they perform as per their design intent for their designed life time.
1. Preservation Oversight
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Establish and maintain a Plant Preservation and Oversight program in Nawah to ensure equipment operability.
- Monitor and coordinate the oversight of the preservation activities being undertaken by the Prime Contractor (PC) to ensure proper SSC preservation.
- Provide assurance that the preservation activities are being carried out by the PC in a timely and quality manner as per approved manuals, procedures and specifications on all of the BNPP Structures, Systems and Components (SSCs), at BNPP site, from turnover to commissioning and until the time of SCC turnover to the Nawah Plant organization.
- Liaise with the concerned points of contact of the PC to oversee their preservation activities and provide interface for the preservation oversight activities by the Nawah preservation overseers from various functions.
- Conduct periodic plant walk downs to randomly check the preservation performance of the PC to verify preservation activities are being performed in professional and reliable manner.
- Oversee and ensure preservation records are available to support SCC turnover to Nawah Plant organization.
- Ensure that the PC is maintaining a record of their preservation activities for historical documentation.
- Ensure that preservation program in BNPP complies with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Industry Standards and the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) requirements and support the FANR inspections and closure of any findings on preservation.
- Ensure lessons learned on preservation program are captured, documented, evaluated and implemented by the PC.
Report to senior management on the effectiveness of the preservation activities in BNPP through formal reports and preservation performance indicators.
2. People Management

- Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
