The position provides Worker Welfare guidance to the Expo 2020 Dubai Project by supporting the development, deployment and implementation of the Worker Welfare program. In addition, the Worker Welfare Auditor will also support various Contractors and Supervision consultants to comply with the Worker Welfare Assurance Minimum Standards through continuous monitoring, inspections, reporting and sharing expertise and informal training to those that require additional support.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Auditing of Employment processes;
- Accommodation & Transportation inspections;
- Accommodation database - oversight;
- Completion of PQQ’s and compliance audits;
- Third party and International Participants monitoring;
- Non- RE&D assessments;
- Processes, procedures and strategy papers on compliance and monitoring regimes;
- Report on audit results and contractors status with regard to on-going non-compliances;
- Feed information from audits into worker outreach program;
- Develop audit strategies, revised mechanisms to continually improve auditing, and compliance regimes;
- Establish controls and consistency around auditing processes;
- Assist with investigations and strategic support of the WW team. Ie recruitment, business and human rights, supply chain due diligence etc.;
- Escalate concerns of non-compliant contractors;
- Manage ad hoc auditing requests ie. Manpower providers, licensing bidders etc.;
- Oversee the off-boarding of contractors on Expo;
- Timely delivery of reports;
- Audits not carried out as planned/scheduled;
- Following through on report findings;
- Feedback lessons learnt from other managerial lines back into the audit team and incorporate into auditing processes;
- Ensure concise and accuracy of report findings.
