The Treasury Intern carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas under the supervision of the Treasury Analyst and Group Treasury Manager: Processing Trade Finance applications, supporting Know Your Customer checks carried out by banks, and general administration. The Intern will report directly to the Group Treasury Manager.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Trade Finance (45%)

• Processing trade finance applications and follow-up on timely issuance under the supervision of Treasury Analyst
• Maintaining an up-to-date register of trade finance instruments in the Treasury Management System
• Maintaning up-to-date filings of all issued guarantees

Know Your Customer Checks (KYC) (30%)

• Support the Treasury team to collate the required information to respond to standard KYC Maintain up-to-date KYC packs for all entities of the group
• Maintain a track-sheet of KYC queries of banks

General Admin (25%)

• Creating and maintaining proper filing for the Treasury department
• Maintain an up-to-date record of all bank contacts
• Organizing and coordinating bank meetings
• Coordinating signatures from Authorised signatories
• Coordinating timely responses from banks on audit confirmations for bank balances and loans
• Support the treasury team in drafting letters to banks for routine requests in relation to bank account management
