The HSE Officer has responsibility to ensure compliance towards ICD Brookfield Place Health & Safety Standards and also to ensure the sub-contractors conduct their activity in line with the requirements set out by ICD Brookfield Place.
Main Responsibilities – Focus Areas:
- Ensure 100% compliance of inductions for all PM direct and indirect contractor on site, and Conduct QHSE related tool box talk/training/awareness programs and maintain records.
- Ensure that the periodic/routine HSE inspections/audits are conducted on all aspects and report the findings to the QHSE Manager.
- Maintain the HSE Inspection/Observation and Work Permit deviation log Promote awareness and contribute towards the implementation of ICD Brookfield Place HSE policy
- Ensure the implementation of PM HSE and Compliance management Plan and implementation of HSE Management according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 along with international standards and local regulations
- Prompt response in case of accident/incident including first aid, rescue, evacuation, subsequent reporting to the QHSE Manager.
- Develop/preparing Incident report and involve/support in the Investigation process of HSE related Incidents
- Coordinate with contractors on site by issuance/Closing/Monitoring the work permits and maintain the permit records and register
- Communicate the HSE Alerts / Best Practices To stop (or take appropriate actions) the work/activities being carried out in case of HSE violations/Unsafe acts.
- Maintain HSE statistical records of near miss, incidents and accidents. Support in closing out the non-conformities/findings (if any) identified during Internal/external audits.
- Maintain all relevant site SHEQ documents/records (Inspection / audit findings, training records, meeting minutes, incident reports, fire drill reports, COSHH register, Accident /Incident register etc.) pertaining to SHEQ management system.
- Provide support in raising awareness of our contractors in understanding and compliance of ICD Brookfield Place QHSE requirements.
- Identify the key risks/Hazards within ICD Brookfield Place and report to the QHSE manager.
- Support/Involve all safety initiatives of ICD Brookfield Place.
- Provide support for creating a positive HSE culture Health
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- To ensure all staff within their remit receives adequate training in line with site / departmental policies and procedures
- Be aware of work place hazards / environmental aspects and controls Be aware of emergency response procedures
- Adherence to company QHSE Policies and Procedures
- Ensure hazards and environmental aspects along with method statements / procedures are briefed prior to commencement of any task
- Conduct Trainings / TBT / briefings on regular basis / as applicable in coordination with HSE representative
- Routine / Random supervision (including sub-contractors) to ensure safe system of work, equipment’s and tools
- To ensure staff performs their tasks in adherence to IMS requirements a safe manner at all times and must immediately take action with any obvious malpractice or unsafe working condition.
- Report any accident / incident/near miss and provide support in incident investigation
- Highlight any long standing HSE issues / deviations/good practices to the line manager / HSE representative for information and action as appropriate.
- Create awareness and contribute towards Zero accidents / site HSE committee implementation
- Maintain appropriate QHSE records at sites.
