Duties and Responsibilities:


• Development and implementation of a supportable Project Procurement Plan to include strategies and execution details for purchasing, subcontracts, expediting and logistics.
• Forecast the procurement needs and manage procure to pay process.
• Development of procurement procedures and contracts specific to the project.
• Responsible for overall procurement budgets.
• Ensure all company shipments are handled in accordance with international regulations.
• Actively involved in the procurement activities for major purchase orders and subcontracts.
• Responsible for commercial content of all orders and subcontracts, ensuring all project negotiations and conditions are accurately reflected in final agreements with vendors.
• Responsible for adherence to Project Procurement Procedures, maintenance of accurate procurement files, and audit accountability.
• Ensure problems are identified on a timely basis and appropriate corrective action plans are developed to allow resolution; participate in resolving disputes, claims and performance issues.
• Ensure client needs are identified and effectively addressed.
• Manage supplier relation.
• Manage planning, developing and buying materials, parts, services and equipment in a timely and cost effective way while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.
• Lead Selection of Vendors & Evaluation of their performance.
• Comprehensive review of the Procurement function and its methodology and identify and Implement improvements.
• Keep abreast with market trend, technology and new products to add value to the procurement process.
• Supervise and manage Purchase Requests, pre and post Purchase Orders processing activities.
• Liaise with requesters/ departmental contacts to ensure timely resolution of queries.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable to resolve supplier payment issues.
• Responsible for updating the status of open PR and POs and report on regular basis.
• Liaise with suppliers and Quality Department for any discrepancies in material received.
• Coordinate with Logistics for expedition and delivery of materials.
• Maintain the records of PR and PO.
• Perform other duties as required/ Ad hoc activities necessary for the accomplishment of departments goals and responsibilities.
