ROLE PURPOSE
To lead project planning, budgets and methodologies. Manages a range of different projects. Defines project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations. Takes ownership of the successful implementation of projects.

KEY ACTIVITIES
Project Management
· Leads project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for small to medium projects
· Facilitates needs assessment and development of project control solutions used for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects through integration of various Project Management tools
· Determines, monitors, and reviews all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk
· Works with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules
· Develops and maintains project or program plans. Tracks, analyses, and reports performance and progress
· Verifies and documents project results to formalize acceptance by the client. Ensure project records reflect final specifications, analysis of success and effectiveness. Archives records from each phase of project.


Risk Assessment
· Identifies potential risk. Develops plan for alternative strategies to avoid and minimize risk.


Quality Control
· Develops quality management and assurance plan. Establishes operational definitions and quality measures. Monitors results and ensures implementation of corrective action
· Leads, directs and manages limited resources to accomplish project objectives on time, within budget and to client expectations using standard project management tools, techniques and methods. Provides direct client interface and ensures project delivery excellence.
· Adheres to PMO guidelines, utilises PMO templates, adheres to PMO reporting requirements, attends audit meetings and rectifies non compliances.


Collaboration
· Establishes procedures for collection, storage, and distribution of information. Ensure information accessibility and capable use by stakeholders. Meet commitments and build trust. Develops positive working relationships
· Provides value-add contributions. Shares knowledge in a timely manner to enable others to increase their effectiveness. Enhances communications across the enterprise. Removes barriers and bottlenecks by sharing knowledge
· Works within cross-functional teams and with external partners to gather and share information and build communications content effectively
· Coaches and advises team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.


Financial Management
· Tracks and manages project economics including costs, budgets, resources, and risk.
· Forecasts cost at project completion and determines the causes of budget variance.


Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business Management or a related field.
· Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
· ITIL Foundation Certificate (Preference)


Minimum Experience:
· A minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in Project Management environment in IT industry or related area with a focus on technology, management and policy
