- Investigate accidents and ensure that necessary corrective actions are taken to prevent future incidents
- Develop and implement safety and security procedures in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and recommend procedures and approaches to safety and loss prevention based on reports of incidents, accidents, and other relevant information.
- Assist in measuring and evaluating effectiveness of the existing health, safety and security programs and various industrial control mechanisms
- Review plans and specifications of facility equipment to make sure they meet safety requirements
- Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and avoid potential hazards
- Ensure that a building or product complies with health and safety regulations
- Install or supervise installation of safety devices
- Review employee health and safety programs and recommend improvements
- Maintain administrative control of records related to safety and health programs
