Our client, a leading medical, is currently looking for a
<b>Dialysis Technologist </b>to be based in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible to:
<br />Supervising junior staff and ensuring their abidance to going rules and policies as applied and implemented in the Section/Department/Facility (as per requirement)
<br />Maintaining sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties
<br />Reporting shortage of materials to supervisor at earliest convenience, ordering and approving replenishments when necessary
<br />Setting up and operating dialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure: Attaches dialyzer and tubing to machine to assemble for use
<br />Mixing dialysate, according to formula and based on guidance and instructions of senior staff, and physician
<br />Taking and recording patient's pre and post dialysis weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiration rate. Taking note of all vital signs and making sure that those are adequately and precisely recorded in the patient records
<br />Cannulating access and connecting dialysis machine to available access in patient's forearm or catheter site to start blood circulating through dialyser
<br />Inspecting and continuously monitoring equipment settings, including pressures, conductivity (proportion of chemicals to water), and temperature to ensure conformance to safety standards
<br />Calculating fluid removal or replacement to be achieved during dialysis procedure
<br />Monitoring patient for adverse reaction and dialysis machine for malfunction
<br />In the case of acute care, the technologist can only assist in setup of the equipment, however monitoring is in conjunction with a supervisor or registered nurse
<br />
<br />RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate would have:
<br />At least 3 years as an in a large hospital or rehabilitation facility with relevant experience with patients with neurological disorders including stroke and traumatic brain injury and patients with intellectual disabilities and mental health experience
<br />Bachelor degree in Dialysis Technology or equivalent qualification in dialysis technology (Minimum three (3) years course duration)
<br />Willing to work for 48 hours per week
<br />Must be willing to work in Abu Dhabi
