Restaurant Manager - Dots Recruitment Consultants

With the expansion of the team we are looking to hire a Restaurant Manager
Business Activities:
• Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
• Planning marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes.
Sales
• Ensure maximum revenue is achieved from all sales opportunities and profit is maximized.
• Analyzing and planning restaurant sales levels and profitability.
• Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development.
• Implement an overall sale & marketing strategy for the Restaurant.
Financial Control:
• Setting annual budgets with the Management.
• Set quarterly targets and adhere to them to ensure budgets are being achieved.
• Ensure the operation is being run in a cost effective & methodical way.
• Project turnover and forecasting.
• Financial strategic planning.
Reporting:
• Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control and sales.
• Any other reasonable requests or ad hoc duties.
• Prepare Reports for management business reviews.
Leadership & Management:
• Hands-on approach to maintain quality and lead the team in all areas of the operation, through creating a high-performance culture and fostering a collaborative approach across all teams.
• To oversee the recruitment of all new employees, induction and welcoming, settling-in and wellbeing in conjunction with HR
• Ensure that effective training is conducted and that the team attends the training offered on the training calendar.
• Working closely with the management, establish clear performance goals for the team, provide regular feedback to them through coaching and support.
• Inspire the team by understanding their individual needs and work alongside them.
Quality Control:
• Spot check Quality and on a daily basis and ensure regulations are followed.
• Service standards are met.
• Supervise maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
Hosting:
• To be a true host at all times ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Have the ability to welcome guests in a friendly manner.
• To recognize regular guest and be a host to all VIP’s and guests.
• Go the extra mile for guest and ensure all staff have been trained accordingly.
Customer Service:
• Ensure that the team has excellent product knowledge and are able to deliver outstanding customer service at all times, through a structured training plan.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints.
Food & Beverage Know-How:
• Participate in regular food tasting and in conjunction with the Head Chef ensure that the food offer is of a consistently high standard.
• Ensure that regular in-house training is offered to all staff on the product, food & beverage.
• Participate in menu planning and with the Head Chef.
• Assist and plan promotional activities, specials on line marketing strategy.
• Action and develop new marketing activities.
Staffing and manpower planning:
• Plan the manpower requirements as per the budget keeping in mind the guest inflow per season.
