Job Summary:
Establishing and maintaining the best standard of vehicle movement within the yard, providing a full and thorough shunting service is delivered to the depot. Responsibility for instigating all appropriate policies, procedures, processes and legislative changes for all aspects of yard shunting. Ensuring all records are maintained in accordance with management and legislative requirements. To advise and assist the management team in determining the suitability of vehicles for use and establishing vehicle defect validity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide effective sourcing and procurement of materials required in the ready-mixed concrete construction operation and practices
To check the usage of received materials procured for construction
To divide the works across the laborers as per the planned activity
Thorough follow up with laborers to ensure completion as planned
Ensure that the projects develop according to plans develop by Engineers
Inspect quality of work as it progresses
Ensures that all workers adhere to safety guidelines
Responsible to train new employees of the construction crew
Evaluate established members on a regular basis
Conduct daily monitoring and checking at the plant-site
Supervise manpower and give assignment as per requirement
Assist in safety and health responsiveness
Assessing job priorities and assigning employees to appropriate job sites
Making sure employees have the tools and equipment needed for the job in order to ensure a good output
Overseeing the work and making sure it runs smoothly and as per the plan
Making sure safety precautions are followed including updating safety kits in case of any
Giving clear directions to workers as to what needs to be done to avoid repetitive mistakes
by the workers.
Perform other assigned task as required
Ensure the proper placement of raw materials in the correct storage areas.
Responsible for controlling the movement of vehicles inside the plant
Make sure that the vehicle goes to the washing areas after the end of production
Make sure that employees in the yard under his supervision are complying with safety rules and regulations
Coordinates with the safety officer to make sure that the plant is complying with the local environmental regulations and report violations
Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems
Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly
Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads
Inform designated employees or departments of items loaded or problems encountered
