The purpose of the Senior Manager – Staffing & Training is to lead the complete overview of staffing operations and training within Guest Services (GSE). GSE is one of the largest areas in terms of people with paid staff, contractors and volunteers in the team. This role will support and work closely with colleagues from Volunteers, Human Resource, Workforce, Training and Health and Safety areas to ensure alignment on all the hiring, outsourcing, training, attrition, motivational and retention plans.
The main responsibilities of this role will include:
- Develop and coordinate the staffing operations strategy for one of the largest department during pre-event and event-time;
- Develop training strategy and content for the GSE team (Full time Employee, contractors and volunteers);
- Ensure a consistent plan for GSE regarding resources for the 6 months of operations;
- Lead the bid processes for outsourced positions and training provider;
- Design the GSE staff journey (check in, briefing, equipment distribution, deployment, breaks, meal times, rotation, redeployment and check out times) per staff category – paid staff, contractors and volunteers;
- Align the shift pattern plan with the peak times and days for the visitors optimizing the resource utilization across the site and between zones;
- Plan and lead the scheduling and rostering operation before and across the 6 months of operation;
- Develop training models and logistic strategy for the sessions to all GSE staff.
