Main responsibilities:
- Identify and understand technical challenges and opportunities in business process for data science, data mining and applied AI technologies across different industry sectors.
- Experience with cloud native, microservices oriented, and big data/non-relational data architectures e.g understand full stack data technologies including OLTP, OLAP, and unstructured data sets development across numerous data platforms.
- Able to design data flows and define integration and transformation patterns from data creation into end points.
- Work closely with HQ, regional and country product teams to transfer business driven outcomes to tangible solutions and develop and implement end-to-end technical solutions.
- Provide strong leadership in defining and articulating innovative and practical technical solutions that address various business needs.
- Desired qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience of 3+ years in designing, building and optimizing hadoop based Big data platform with Spark, Kafka, Yarn, Hive, or equivalent technologies.
- A solid understanding of the big data & AI landscape, the evolution of associated technologies along with their advantages and disadvantages.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or Scala.
- Experience with one of the large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions like AWS, Openstack, Azure etc.
- Able to benchmark systems, analyze system bottlenecks and make proposals to resolve issues.
