Head of HR - Cielo Talent

Our client is a long established and privately-owned company that has numerous operating businesses and investments across diverse industries, including (but not limited to) Retail, Logistics, Energy, Healthcare, Education, etc. employing over 1,000 people in the UAE and wider GCC. For over 30 years, the organization has built successful and long-term relationships with both local and international business partners who value their industrial expertise, market knowledge, investment track record and dedicated team of professionals who can support them in the region. Apart from their fully owned operating businesses within the GCC, they have further investment in associated companies, real estate and listed securities.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop a clear HR strategy (in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer) to support the achievement of business objectives and implement the agreed actions from the strategy in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

  • Provide leadership and direction to the HR Department ensuring that the team of HR professionals are fully engaged with senior management at group, sector and business unit level in terms of proactive and high quality operational HR support to ensure that they deliver their individual financial and operational goals.

  • Ensure that the organization and other group entities successfully recruit, retain and motivate high caliber individuals enabling us to have a strong “human capital” asset base with regard to comparable companies and local businesses.

  • Standardize, simplify and streamline HR policies, procedures and practices across all group sectors and business units.

  • Review the current organizational structure, processes and personnel with a view to improving efficiency, performance and profitability.

  • Manage the PRO services, employees’ visas, permits, labor cards issuance and renewal, transfer of visas, trade & commercial license, liaison and communication with Government Authorities through Administration Manager.

  • Understand the organization’s long-term goals and develop and enhance succession planning within the group over the next three to five years.
