Prestige Advocates and Legal Consultants are looking to hire for an Arabic-English translator. The successful candidate will convert written material from Arabic to English and vice versa, making sure that the translation conveys the original meaning as clearly as possible.
Candidate must have an excellent command of English and Arabic.
Responsibilities
You will need to:
• Read through original material and rewrite it in the target language (Arabic or English), ensuring that the meaning of the text is retained
• Liaise with the team and clients to clarify any uncertainty
• Research legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation
• Use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used
• Proofread and edit final translated versions
• Retain and develop knowledge on specialist areas of translation
• Follow various translation-quality standards to ensure legal and ethical obligations to the customer
