Planning Manager - Mindfield Resources

Our Client:


A leading FMCG organization is looking for a Planning Manager to join its cutting-edge supply chain team at an exciting juncture in their growth and development.


Your Role:


Planning Manager plays a business partner role set to manage the demand and supply planning cycle enabling the company to meet its sales and service objectives. Success in this position requires proven business results in demand planning with experience in Integrated Business Management (IBM) and inventory management processes. Incumbent should have a strong cross-functional collaboration and analytical skills with the ability to deliver results in a matrix organization. Your Key responsibilities would include:


  • Support strategic Supply chain plans through execution and implementation: conducting analysis where required for assessing longer term capital and capacity needs.

  • Responsible to evaluate material and production constraints, storage, write offs implications & supply issues in order to provide contingency plans for best utilization of resources aiming at optimizing it.

  • Track and monitor all inventories of Finished goods, packaging material and ingredients throughout co-packing or manufacturing plants where required

  • Lead demand planning process improvement part IBM cycle, influence change for better integrated processes. Analyze cause and effect and recommend corrective action

  • Manage the Demand Planning process aiming at developing demand forecasts at the customer, SKU levels

  • Training and coaching planners on demand analysis-capturing baseline growth through statistical models, developing critical eye and business intelligence, diligence to challenge sales/marketing growth assumptions put during building block sessions.

  • Coordinate the statistical forecasting between Sales analyst and demand planners, ensuring accurate trend projection. Balance a complex set of variables to reduce the overall forecast error.

  • Ensure customers and plants are aligned with SLA, handle clarification proactively-report any ambiguity to Planning manager.

  • Support in New Product Development & launch process; liaise concurrently with all stakeholders to ensure timely product supply, including system integration and optimal packaging design where required.

  • Provides input to the organization and co-packers in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs (rationalization)

This role would report into Supply Chain Manager and would involve taking care of Middle East, North Africa & Turkey.
