The successful applicant should possess the following skills and experience
• Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the supervision works and monitors it for improvement. Cooperates with audits required in accordance with the contract requirements and Jacobs’s internal systems.
• Assist the Resident Engineer (Track), in performing the contractual duties on site.
• Assist the Resident Engineer (Track), in the management and direction of a team of Surveyors and Inspectors for the supervision of the construction.
• Assists the Resident Engineer (Track), in reporting on progress, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design modifications.
• Builds a trusted relationship with the management team and with the client’s counterpart staff.
• Establishes an appropriate working relationship with the contractors.
• Places an emphasis on safe construction practices (Beyond Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Leads by example in driving safe practices on site.
• Assists the Resident Engineer in monitoring progress of construction against the programme and takes steps to ensure the programme is achieved.

Job Summary:
The Railway track design expert will work closely with the Project Head in developing the expertise within our already established team and provide technical expertise in delivering our challenging projects.
Responsibilities:
• Experience of working with Rail Alignment & Track Design for LRT, Metro, Monorail, High Speed and/or Freight railways and other Guided Transport Systems.
• Experience in the analysis and documentation of rail engineering works and processes from Feasibility and Design to Implementation and Client Handover.
• Very good working knowledge of Bentley Rail Track /Bentley Power Rail Track (from alignment design through to preparation of drawings).
• Experienced in the development and preparation of track design criteria and track works specifications
• Quality checking the drawings prepared as per the design.
• Good knowledge of AUTOCAD, MICROSTATION MX-RAIL AND MX-ROAD
• Experience from Construction.
• Experience to work in/with other cultures.
• Also having good working experience with software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Have respect for deadlines and achieve targeted results whilst working individually
