Applications are invited for the position of Senior Food & Beverage Manager (Airport Outlets)

  • Position within: Food & Beverage Airport Department
  • Reports to: Assistant Vice President Food and Beverage
  • Location : Dubai International Airport

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Safety

Responsible for the implementation of OHSAS 18001 safety

management system in the area of responsibility.

Ensure compliance with the company safety system and

processes and to align to EKFC safety standards and government

regulations to ensure that a safe and effective environment is

provided to staff, contractors, suppliers and customers.

Implement and adhere to emergency procedures and evacuation plans.

Implement and maintain pro-active methods of hazard

identification, risk assessment and control of occupational health

and safety hazards such as inspections and observations.

Investigate all safety occurrences including incidents, accidents

and near misses. Establish the root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Ensure that HACCP and other local regulations are adhered to in

order to ensure the highest good hygiene standards

Individual objectives and training/ development plans

Number of inspection / Audits and

meetings related to safety awareness/ alignment

Align SOP to the Hygiene procedures Weekly meeting

  1. Leadership – Engaged Workforce

Responsible for manpower planning with the area of responsibility

including staff recruitment approvals, developing a recruitment

pipeline and staff selection.

Development and deployment of an on-job orientation program.

Responsible for managing the performance of new employees in

accordance with the Probation policy.

Ensure that performance objectives are set for all staff,

performance appraisals are conducted, staff development plans

and activities are in place and that matters of poor performance are addressed.

Responsible for carrying out disciplinary investigations into

alleged misconduct, determining investigation findings and recommending outcomes.

Conduct regular training needs analysis and manage training requirements to plan.

Conduct weekly cascade communication to ensure that relevant

workplace information is understood at all levels.

Conduct regular staff meetings and feedback sessions to ensure

all staff concerns are addressed in a professional manner.

  1. Profit Maximisation

Responsible for preparing annual budget proposals for the

approval of the Assistant Vice President.

Prepare CAPEX justifications.

Responsible for the management of staff costs including overtime

and unplanned absences.

Responsible for ensuring appropriate stock control and record

keeping.

Generate feasibility studies in a periodical and timely manner. · Action plans and report ( P&L ) · Action plans

  1. Business Development

Actively participate in all aspects of the Concourse Three start up

including staff on-boarding and training, achievement of service

standards and site readiness.

Responsible for recommending and implementing improvements

in the Food and Beverage Service experience including the

service concept and equipment.

Responsible for assisting the Assistant Vice President to pro-actively present improvement initiatives to the client for approval.

This may include costs benefit and other analysis.

Business cases to be submitted with the

financial implication to see the feasibility

Turnover and absenteeism reports

Generate feasibility reports on weekly and monthly target

  1. Operational Excellence

Responsible for manpower planning to ensure that service

standards match passenger volumes and that service standards

are maintained at all times.

Responsible for planning the activities of each day of operation

and ensure that staff are appropriately supervised at all times.

Responsible for the ordering and utilisation of all equipment and

products required for the delivery of the service concept.

Customer survey

Quality audit

SOP to be updated and implemented

  1. Customer

Responsible for ensuring that customer service standards are met at all times.

Proactively seek customer feedback by interacting with clients on a daily basis.

Responsible for analysing customer feedback to identify

improvement opportunities and making recommendations as to

how such improvements can be implemented.

Responsible for addressing customer clients, conducting root

cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.

Responsible for the implementation of the Quality Management system.

Investigate and close out any quality non-conformances.

Customers meetings and Surveys

Quality and KPIs report/ response to non- compliance reports
