The Business Development & Commercial Lead holds the responsibility of selecting and sealing a partnership with best suppliers in the region along with developing excellent pricing strategy to retailers. You will contribute to further improving product, system and policy offerings by Grocart to retailers. Successful candidate will be able to suggest impactful marketing activities to attract new & retain existing retailers in order to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities


·    Plan a portfolio of suppliers in key categories and locations that align with business goals and opportunities.

·    Acquisition of new suppliers and business partners and support in the process of launching them on the platform.

·    Improving the suppliers offering on the platform by focusing on the breadth and depth of assortment

·    Negotiating win-win opportunities with suppliers to help them grow their business on the Grocart platform.

·    Liaising with different verticals such as operations, legal, finance, ….etc for different activities

·    Prepare partnership agreements ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.

·    Maintain competing pricing strategy on Grocart platform balanced with profitability.

·    Promotional activities & trade deals

·    Be the voice of the suppliers by conducting deep analysis of issues affecting supplier’s business performance and suggest product and process improvements. 

·    Recommend actions plans for suppliers by analyzing data and interpret reports.

·    Assist and Cooperate with other Business Development Executives.

·    Conduct market research to identify new brands, suppliers and customer needs.

·    Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting partners’ objectives.

·    Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.

·    Build long-term relationships with new and existing partners.

·    Devising and presenting ideas and strategies based on regular field visits

·    Suggest new marketing campaigns on social media to help achieve sales targets

·    Share insights and activities of competitors
