Responsible for compiling and maintaining records, data, digital solutions and presentations of every Art Collection/ Work that is received and dispatched from the Art Storage facility (as well as kept in the properties) in order to have the location, conditions, intrinsic and extrinsic data as well as images of each work known at all times in a data base. 

  • To research & prepare analysis of all pieces of Art received.  
  • Visit properties to carry out detailed inspections of Art Works and revert back to the ART Department manager on any maintenance/condition issues.  
  • Prepare condition reports for all works received at the Art Store (returned and new works) and advise remedy in any condition issues.
  • Additionally, to catalogue each work within the collection and prepare catalogs and lists so that the Client can view as per each specific request (I.E. by Genre, Artist, colour, theme etc.).
  • Organize transportations and installations as per client’s requests.
  •  Handle the loan process with national and international institutions.
  • Inspect and examine the condition each item of art work received from galleries, museums, artists, borrowers, internal properties etc. to ensure that it is received in good condition and prepare detailed condition reports with photographic documentation.
  • Prepare condition reports for all works received at the Art Store (returned and new works) and advise remedy in any condition issues.
  • Take high resolution photos of each of item and edit them using Photo Editing Software of art work and organize the images in the Photo Archive for easy reference based on the Clients request.
  • Research and compile relevant information / details for each item of art work to effectively determine all intrinsic and extrinsic data of the art work.
  •  Provide Art Department Manager with consistently updated catalogue of works held within Al Ain Art Storage Warehouse as well as individual properties or on loans as they are inventoried. Catalogues are to be available at all times with the ability to be sorted as per the Client/Art Department Manager specifications using the current Access Based Database.
  •  Provide confirmation, in addition to the Art Technician, that art works are being safely handle and stored correctly during transportation to or from specified properties.
  • Control and maintain Inventory logs within the Database, for each work within the collection so tracking reports can be provided to the Art Department Manager as requested. Assists in tracking each work whenever it is moved from the storage facility to specific property.
