Network Administrator - Buna - Arab Monetary Fund

Introduction

As the implementation phase of Buna, formerly known as the Arab Regional Payment System (ARPS), project picks up momentum, we are looking for a responsible Network Administrator to join our founding team. Duties of the Network Administrator include keeping Buna’s IT infrastructure and network environment up-to-date and fully operational. The job holder is also responsible for maintaining existing software & hardware and managing all required upgrades. This position will report to Chief Technology Officer.

Job Responsibilities


Security Design & Development


1.   Develop and configure new systems within cloud and physical infrastructure


2.   Participate in the design of security centric network and infrastructure solutions


3.   Ensure technical solution/design alignment with established security policies


4.   Secure network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation, and maintain documentation


5.   Maintain security baseline requirements for all IT systems


Network Maintenance & Improvement


6.   Maintain existing software and hardware and manage all required upgrades


7.   Install, configure and test infrastructure and network equipment and establish / maintain network connections as per requirements and specifications


8.   Perform advanced programming system automation through scripting


Performance Management & Quality Assurance


9.   Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, performance tuning,

troubleshooting network problems, and escalating problems to vendors


10. Tune infrastructure performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure with a focus on industry best practices


11. Participate in the exploration of new technologies and proof-of-concepts


12. Recommend, review, and implement new technology solutions


Network Support


13. Provide day-to-day 2nd and 3rd level engineering support to the operations team


14. Lead problem management and regular troubleshooting efforts in resolving infrastructure issues


Operational Management


15. Create and maintain documentation. Perform daily IT tasks as assigned


16. Coordinate with vendors to develop, test, evaluate, and install new hardware and software in addition to upgrades


17. Manage multiple vendors in the overall implementation of infrastructure projects


18. Develop and implement appropriate policies and standard operating procedures aligned to established policies and frameworks


19. Design and develop infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools, prioritizing monitoring, alerting, and routing of alerts for infrastructure and services


20. Ensure adherence to availability requirements in contractual SLAs


21. Participate in the procurement processes of infrastructure products and services
