Job Purpose:
The role holder is responsible for developing and implementing engaging programming across d3 that enables the business to meet its goals and objectives. The role holder is responsible for managing, implementing, measuring and optimizing event programs to drive footfall to d3 and also bring in revenues. Reporting to the Director of Programming and Destination Management, the role holder is also responsible for developing and managing all programming with business partners ensuring all events and activations are properly coordinated, managed and communicated, as well as being a point of contact for all programming enquires from external clients and brands.
Priciple Accountabilities:
- Develop a consistent, exciting and unique year round programme of events within d3 that enables d3 to be positioned as both a destination for design and a leading platform for creativity, that meets the overall strategic objectives of Dubai Design District and TECOM Group, and that also supports business needs and objectives, as well as those of the d3 community (retail and commercial)
- Create culturally relevant programming that resonates within the Emirati community and ensures d3 becomes synonymous with local culture
- Develop annual, quarterly and monthly programming calendars to ensure all programming is properly managed, communicated and delivered
- Collaborate with both the d3 outreach team and corporate communication teams to ensure events are promoted through all available channels and are accessible to diverse community audiences
- Support the identification and execution of opportunities for d3’s presence in local and international events, conferences, exhibitions and other lead generation opportunities and industry development platforms
- Create and develop unique event and activation platforms that d3 own and that are of direct benefit to the community through community engagement initiatives, town halls, networking events and other B2B, B2C initiatives
- Support the d3 Programming and Destination Management Director in the evaluation of all programming and activation requests and opportunities that would enhance d3’s brand image and contribute into driving footfall to d3 or provide industry development support
- Manage key relationships with brands, companies, business partners and retail partners at d3 and to be the main point of contact for anyone wishing to undertake an event at d3
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners such as media, design, cultural, education etc. professionals to seek opportunities to cement d3 as a leading destination of design, art and culture
- Proactively seek sponsorship opportunities and manage deliverables as per sponsorship agreement
- Track and monitor the programming budget to support the management of the Marketing budget for Dubai Design District and ensure all financial targets are met
- Develop d3’s marketing internal and external database that would be used to promote d3 retailers and business partners, communicate about new projects and offerings, tap into the databases for lead generation for future phases of Dubai Design District
- Prepare and report on event evaluations to track events against pre-determined KPI’s and success measures, and provide insights on both challenges and opportunities
- Support the Director Programming & Destination Management with adhoc projects as assigned in order to ensure that the department meets its overall objectives
