The Role:
The Candidate will be required to collect and analyze facts about newsworthy events by interview, investigation, or observation. You will be required to formulate energy focused articles through hard sources and data analysis.
Responsibilities:
1. Through hard data analysis, sources, interview, investigation or observation prepare relevant energy content;
2. Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about a story;
3. Coordinate logistics for productions or events;
4. Establish and maintain relationships with credible sources;
5. Edit written and video materials;
6. Review and evaluate notes taken about news events to isolate pertinent facts and details;
7. Analyze information obtained from news sources;
8. Operate communications, transmissions, or broadcasting equipment to record and transmit stories;
9. Agree with Energy Editor on stories, angles and areas of concentration;
10. Develop ideas or material for columns or commentaries by analyzing and interpreting news, current issues, or personal experiences;
11. Monitor current market trends;
