Our client, a well-known entity is currently looking for a Chief Risk Officer to enable the efficient and effective governance and management of the investment department's risk landscape.

<b>Job Summary</b>
<br />The Chief Risk Officer will design and implement Risk Management Framework related to the investment platform to cover Operational, Portfolio and Counterparty risk management. He/She will work closely with the investment team to analyse each deal from an investment risk perspective as well as the impact of each deal on a portfolio risk concept. He/She will also ensure that the firm operates within the risk appetite set by the board.

<br />RequirementsIn order to be considered for the role, you need to meet the following criteria:
<br />
<br />· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related quantitative field is required
<br />· MBA and/or Master's degree in a quantitative and/or finance field is preferred
<br />· CFA and/or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) preferred
<br />· Minimum of 15 years' international experience in the investment risk field culminating in a senior investment risk role covering multiple asset classes within asset management firm or related financial institution
<br />· Comprehensive knowledge in the principles and theories of investment and investment-related risk management best practice
<br />· Comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory environment for investments
<br />· Thorough understanding of organizational management skills needed to achieve effective and efficient operations
<br />· Numerate and analytical (with solid understanding of financial markets)
