Perform plant operations activities to achieve plant safety and reliability for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) as per the regulatory requirements, operating policies and principles, nuclear standards for nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection to ensure overall business performance objectives are achieved
Staff Training and Qualification
- Attend training program to maintain necessary technical knowledge and skill as a licensed operator.
- Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of operator performance
Supervise and Support secondary side operations
- With the direction of Shift Supervisor / Shift Technical Advisor / Shift Manager / Control Room Turbine Operator implement appropriate actions to mitigate events and resolve issues
- Assess plant conditions and provide concise analysis to Shift Supervisor / Shift Manager in response to those conditions
- Notify Shift Supervisor/ Control Room Turbine Operator of any unexpected or abnormal situations
- Communicate with secondary side Local Operators and direct local equipment operation
- Monitor control board indications frequently and act promptly to determine the causes of, and corrections for abnormalities
- Respond to alarms in a timely manner and address the causes of alarms in accordance with alarm response or abnormal operating procedures
- Verbalize control board alarms so that other operators and Shift Supervisor / Control Room Turbine Operator are aware of the aIarming conditions and take reasonable actions to clear alarming conditions promptly
- Periodically check control room panel alarm lights and annunciators to confirm satisfactory operation of visual and audible abnormal condition indicators
- Check strip charts and other recorders for proper operation with a sufficient supply of chart paper available
- Monitor and trend plant equipment to detect abnormal conditions or adverse trends
- Record key equipment parameters periodically to identify and correct problems in equipment performance based on trends
- Record the full/all data necessary for an accurate history of plant operation
- Monitor plant operations on a day-to-day basis and perform periodic assessments to identify areas for improvement
- Conduct a comprehensive review of written records, logs, equipment and control boards information before taking turnover of shift position
- Adhere to plant procedures, technical specification requirements, and sound operating practices

- Manage the effective achievement of organization's objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize the performance of subordinate and department
- Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiritization strategy
- Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building inte.al capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance
