IT Service Delivery Head - UAE National - Mackenzie Jones

• Lead, plan, direct and control all activities related to the delivery and management of IT business facing services by overseeing different aspects of the applications and infrastructure landscape.
• Act as the final approver on all application, infrastructure and security operation updates in order to ensure that these are in line with all the necessary standards and policies.
• Monitor monthly and quarterly technology performance results, identify technology performance gaps and ramifications, and lead the development of corrective actions that tackle the root causes.
Operational
• Direct the development and maintenance of the application and infrastructure landscape, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, cyber-security and related GIT standards.
• Oversee the performance of IT infrastructure components including networks, systems, storage devices and databases, and weigh in on important strategic decisions with regard to sourcing, migrations, locations and other aspects.
• Oversee adherence with all defined service levels and system performance targets.
• Available 24x7 to respond for business or IT operation team calls and attend urgent incidents with IT emergency team on site.
• Oversee the performance of the security operations team and provide inputs where necessary.
• Define high-level parameters and guidelines covering the software development lifecycle: requirements identification, design, implementation, testing, and application maintenance.
• Oversee periodic reviews and testing of applications in order to ensure compliance with design parameters and business needs, as well as adherence to best practices and latest industry developments.
• Direct the process of developing application enhancements based on needs and best practices and manage their release in order to ensure that applications are operating in the most effective manner.
• Oversee the process of integrating IT solutions and software system components.
• Oversee the management and optimization of the application portfolio and make decisions on the application lifecycle (i.e. sustain, upgrade, retire) in order to ensure that the application landscape in is fit-for-purpose.
• Oversee periodic research in order to identify technologies to improve service performance and reliability.
Financial Management
• Review and approve the IT service delivery budget.
• Manage and report on IT service delivery financial spending.
• Oversee the development of IT service delivery initiatives TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and ROI (Return on Investment).
People and Talent Management
• Formulate workforce planning reports and talent acquisition plans.
• Set performance management objectives for all reportees and perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews.
• Oversee the team’s productivity to achieve the set KPIs and service levels.
• Oversee the enhancement of team members’ knowledge, skills, and performance.
• Manage and resolve team conflicts.
Stakeholder Management
• Ensure all required stakeholders are consulted in order to gather and cover all application requirements.
• Provide the IT Director with infrastructure and applications related advice as necessary in order to facilitate decision making and strategy/plan development.
