Description of Job Responsibility
• Welcoming visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone.
• Greeting guests and offering them beverages and food/ menu
• Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant staff
• Setting and clearing tables
• Making sure that there is consistency in the table set up
• Responsible for handling the front of the house reception and administration duties e.g billing and reports
• Communicating with the Chef for the daily specials
• Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction
• Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages
• Inventory, including beverages, supplies and other restaurant equipment
• Operating the EPOS system
• Making Teas and Coffees
• Cashiering duties
• Cleaning of the restaurant equipment e.g the coffee machine
