- Interact with key stakeholders in identifying business needs, building relationships and selling the features and benefits of early procurement involvement.
- Communicate with overseas vendors in order to compare the specifications and prices in different markets.
- Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization
Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory - Negotiates with contractors on price, mode of shipping, and delivery time
- Checks invoices for accuracy, and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment
- Maintain positive working relationships with strategic suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.
- Analyze market and delivery trends so as to develop procurement technologies and processes that support those trends.
- Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing.
- Develop detailed sourcing and category plans to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement.
- Provide updates about procurement related progress and potential delays on a daily basis to the Business Manager.
