Manager – Events and Activations - Expo2020 Dubai

 The role of the Event Manager is to develop, plan and execute event projects for the Community Engagement Division. The role requires a multi-dimensional events professional who is an expert at planning and managing all aspects of an event with knowledge of creative, technical and logistical elements. This includes event design, audio-visual production, logistics, budgeting, supplier negotiations and client servicing.


Main responsibilities for this role include:


- Help in development of a calendar of community engagement activities that Expo 2020 could create or participate in. Regularly identify new activities that could add further value to the calendar;


- Oversee the creative development of event ideas and any supporting collateral that drive engagement and achieve our key KPIs;


- Ensure collaborative relationships with all internal departments and maintain awareness of other events and activations efforts across the organisation;


- Put relevant KPIs and success metrics in place to ensure effective post event reporting and a measurable return on investment;


- Manage smaller scale events with minimal supervision; but work closely with the Head of Events and Activations on larger scale events with large visibility;


- Prepare a project plan and a timeline, including identifying all preparatory and logistical elements required, and track progress against all deliverables;
