The Associate Social Media - China / Russia is responsible for maintaining and supporting an efficient working environment for the accounts for which they are assigned. S/he will keep communication channels clear and open among members of the assigned account group, as well as other departments within the organization. The candidate will also monitor the workflow within the Social Team to ensure work in progress is completed in a timely and efficient manner. The Associate, Social Media - China / Russia works under the direction of the Manager, Social Media to learn strategy, support in presentations and account management skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working on either China or Russian social media channels including, but not limited to:
- China: WEIBO / WECHAT RENREN / YOUKU TUDOU
- Russia: VKONTAKTE (VK) / OK / MOI MIR / RUTUBE
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Communicates effectively in both a verbal and written manner; proofing work of oneself and others;
- Ascertain the client’s needs and effectively communicate them back to both the client, Account Team and agency resources;
- Maintain direct, timely and appropriate communications with the Manager, Social Media and/or teams through conference reports, status updates, etc.
- Support specific social media platforms from content creation to implementation, management and reporting;
- Assist in creating and executing marketing campaigns to deliver brand affinity and increased consumer engagement and sales (of tickets and merchandize) through social and affiliate channels;
- Experience and be comfortable monitoring social media channels, understanding tone, and sentiment and have used tools like Brands Eye, Crowd Analyzer and Hootsuit or others;
- CHINA MARKET: Develop content for a variety of channels; WECHAT RENREN, WEIBO, and YOUKU TUDOU posts will be a large component of this position while tracking the effectiveness of the content, sharing across networks and optimizing the content will be a secondary responsibility;
- RUSSIA MARKET: Develop content for a variety of channels; VK, OK, MOI MIR, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, TWITTER and RUTUBE posts will be a large component of this position while tracking the effectiveness of the content, sharing across networks and optimizing the content will be a secondary responsibility.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects - work prioritisation, planning and time management;
- Serve as primary liaison between social media agency and publishers, driving communication with all parties;
- Partner with our social agency, creative, brand marketing, destination marketing and communications teams to support key messages for each channel to support brand objectives;
- Responsible for providing timely reporting and analytical understanding of campaign results;
- Coordinate production of client and business development projects with any or all agency resource areas such as creative, technology and media;
- Develop production schedules and complete timelines for creative projects that balances Expo’s and agency needs.
