Security Architect
Job Summary
The Security Architect position presents an exciting opportunity for an information security professional to ideate and architect state-of-the-art security solutions. The role would also be responsible to review the current security posture, and provide architectural recommendations based on internal security standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate would be an experienced security consultant with 6-10 years of experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business, technology and security requirements for new projects, and turn these requirements to secure technical solutions.
- Prepare security designs for new projects/implementations of enterprise applications and IT infrastructure systems.
- Document/update security designs for existing systems and networks.
- Perform security architecture reviews for existing systems and networks, and provide recommendations.
- Prepare reference security architectures for common requirements and deployment scenarios.
- Provide implementation guidance to domain engineers
Experience / Skills- Threat modelling
- Security architecture reviews
- Security design documentation
- Network security
- Virtualization security
- Cloud security
- Endpoint security
- Application security
- Identity & access management
- Security analytics (optional, but preferred)
- Good documentation skills
Industry certifications are a plus, but not as important as past (and recent) experience in the above mentioned areas and responsibilities. Some of the preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH or vendor certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare or AWS (e.g. MCSE, CCNP, CCDA, VCP, etc.).
