A 3rd Party Logistics Provider, is now looking for a Freight Operations & Pricing Manager. This position has direct responsibility for Global Agent Network (WCA, PPL, IFNL etc) development, Agency agreements, Shipping / Air Lines relationship and Pricing of products related to Freight, Land Transport, Contract Logistics and Warehousing Business for existing and prospective clients. This position is expected to have proven experience in handling Air, Sea & Land Operations from Free Zones & Main Land in the region.
Overall job purpose:
- Manages and drives desk performance
- Ensures integrity and accuracy of provided cost elements and financial information
- Develops and ensures execution of commercial Warehousing, Transportation, Contract Logistics, Air Freight Rate & Ocean Freight Rate, (AFR/OFR)
- Responsible to ensure right controls to delivers adequate opportunity prioritization, pricing, routing and Solution design (timely and quality wise) in Alignment with Sales
- Responsibilities includes pricing input collection, adherence to standards and pricing instructions, roll-up of bid input into country response, country-to-country pricing, pricing campaigns, setting up internal selling rates
- Liaises with Head of Sales Manages risk taking process (e.g. local decision, regional, global escalation)
- Assists in presenting pricing information during customer presentations, when required.
- Maintains and updates running project list with status and maintains a pricing history database.
- Outlines and supports adherence to new business pricing procedures
- Prepares situational analysis tools for commercial consideration and strategy development
- Performs financial evaluation to assess pricing activities effectiveness
- Evaluates resource requirements and encourages implementation or maintenance of pricing systems as well as manages total pricing procedure
- Ensures profit maximizing approach to market, analyzes financial impact of price approach in view of overall history as well as profitability of customer
Requirements
For any candidate to be considered for this role - it is essential that they have a deep understanding of Freight Pricing Air, Ocean & Transport, Contract Logistics and Warehousing, Must have excellent contacts with Shipping & Air Lines and superb negotiating skills, Must have thorough knowledge of major trade lanes and Global Freight Forwarding agency network.
Work Schedule: Sunday to Thursday with alternate Saturdays.
