We are looking for an estimator with experience in fit-out project management to be responsible for quotations and technical submittals by gathering first-hand information from different sources. The role is to provide knowledge of cost and benefits within Special Project business unit.The ideal candidate will be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and excellent in building up a relationship and finding necessary information.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
•Studying the specification and tender documents in order to prepare our reply to the clients accordingly
•Elaborating proposals according to the specification and design concept
•Reviewing the layout and the drawings provided by the client in order to get the BOQ (bill of quantity)
•Selecting the products for our proposal as per the specification and/or alternatives including all technical details
•Requesting quotations from different suppliers/manufacturers
•Reviewing and evaluating the offer from suppliers in accordance to the project requirements and specifications
•Negotiating better prices from manufacturers when quantities are high or when required by the project - both in tender stage and after receiving the purchase order to increase the profitability
•Working independently with pricelists from our main manufacturers and applying discounts for costing
•Preparing the costing sheets along with the calculations of freight, customs and margin analysis
•Preparing tender offer (proposal), commercially along with the full technical submittals (datasheets, certificates, comparison overviews, compliance sheets, etc.)
•Providing necessary value engineering to meet the project budget
•Providing support and assistance to team members to meet the division’s goals and targets
•Attending training sessions and webinars organised by suppliers and self-studying relevant knowledge papers
