LIN SCAN’s R&D and Manufacturing division is known for innovative cleaning and inspection solutions for all pipeline diameters from 3 to 56 inch with a variety of inspection technologies (Caliper/MFL/TFI/UT/EMAT/Eddy Current) for all industries (Hydrocarbons /Production/Transmission/Water/Mining).


PROFILE:


Working as Mechanical Designer in our Design Division, you will be responsible for developing sustainable tools designs on numerous major projects and mixed-use developments.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Responsible for calculation of forces, stresses, pressure and other factors in relation with design.
• Perform mechanical design, engineering, documentations, and modeling duties for revisions to existing equipment, production of new equipment, design of Tools and Launcher- Receivers.
• Model mechanical system designs in Solid Work and AutoCAD as required.
• Prepare bill of materials for finished mechanical assemblies and all parts.
• Supervise and assist in the creation of finished mechanical assembly and fabrication drawings.
• Assist in the preparation of finished as-built & as-installed versions of drawings.
• Acquire or generate as necessary all technical product data sheets required to document drawings.
• Compile drawings and documents as required providing complete mechanical submittal and Operation & Maintenance packages.
• Generate supporting documents as required to support design.
• Perform hand calculations to provide engineering analysis of stress, loads and forces as it pertains to mechanical design.
• Participate in internal and external engineering and design reviews and produce redline/revision packages for review.
• Participate in physical testing of equipment and coordinate expected and actual results analysis with fabrication and testing personnel.
• Verification of client specifications.
