Assistant Manager, Marketing Projects - Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing

JOB OBJECTIVE:
Support the department’s overall marketing projects including project development, execution, management, stakeholder liaison, project KPI review and development, key performance metrics setting, tracking and reporting.


KEY RESPONSBILITIES / DUTIES:
Managerial Role:
Requires continuous liaison with agencies by getting involved in negotiations, reporting and delivery and to ensure performance is monitored on a regular basis

Functional Role:
1. Project Management:
a. Assist in the Marketing project plan.
b. Partner with other DCTCM/DTCM internal teams to develop key marketing activities for marketing segments to support the overall objective of the project.
c. Liaise with agencies on scope, negotiate proposals, and manage agency reporting and performance
2. Support in developing Project Objectives and Strategies:
a. Support line manager in data collation, understand and contribute to SWOT analysis including comprehensive data for completing SWOT analysis including competition, key success factors, economic and technology consideration, supply-side analytics
b. Assist in the evaluation and identification of strategic issues and opportunities
c. Assist in defining the objectives for each segment to drive awareness, consideration, conversion for growth in visitation, visit days and spend
d. Assist in identifying the key marketing and operation strategies to achieve the objectives
3. Assist in consolidating and developing a comprehensive Project Management plan, together with key functional heads to ensure alignment of tactical programs to support the goals and objectives.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
a. Work closely with external stakeholders to develop strategic imperatives, marketing objectives, and KPI to measure performance
b. Communicate joint projects with Key stakeholders to amplify the benefits for attracting / increasing tourist penetrations.


c. Establish and maintain effective working relationship with external stakeholders to ensure alignment with the right amount of engagement.
d. Working with internal and external stakeholders to integrate key messages to wider Dubai
5. Support the line manager to develop the right Project Management tracking plan to report periodically on project status, results and risk mitigation
6. Management Reporting and Governance:
a. Collate data to develop the monthly/quarterly report to systematically track and report KPI for all projects
b. Implements and administers use of approved process and procedures for maintaining efficient operations. Highlights and recommends changes as appropriate.
c. Formulating alternatives based on the insights/performance indicators. Support Senior
d. Management of the teams to influence resources allocation.
e. Organizing meetings, preparing meeting materials, developing presentations and manage project timeline to support the annual/quarterly marketing projects.
7. General tasks:
Perform other job related duties as required.
