Job Summary:
The Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching the transit mixers and pumps based on the daily tentative schedule of pouring. Monitors and checks the status of available equipment and production personnel. Coordinates with Plant Supervisor for any concerns at the site. Coordinates with the Batching Plant Operator for the design to be batched for a certain client. Prepares to dispatch report or other related production reports. Complying with the QHSE procedures/policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Confer with plant production and yard personnel to establish delivery schedules
- Prepare driver assignments, job site routes, invoices, delivery tickets, and related shipping documents
- Monitor driver hours and equipment downtime
- Maintain radio contact with drivers to expedite delivery
- Periodically check loads for accuracy
- Act as a customer service representative and assist in resolving customer complaints as required
- Coordinate dispatch activities with sales and production
- Assist in employee selection and training process as required
- Coordinate activities of dispatchers and/or customer service representatives as required
- Receive and input orders for products as required
- Ensure compliance with all DOT rules and requirements
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures
- Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Complies with all and ensures compliance of all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures and requirements
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
