We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated Guides to work at a new and highly prestigious cultural attraction set to open in Abu Dhabi in March 2019.


As part of a skilled and high-performing team, you will provide the warmest welcome and highest level of customer service to visitors at an outstanding cultural destination in Abu Dhabi - which is being opened up to the public for the very first time. You will host and guide guests throughout this national landmark revealing its amazing stories in engaging and exciting ways. Sharing the story of Abu Dhabi in a world-class attraction, you will represent Emirati culture and traditions for visitors, locals and VIPs.


You will need excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and inspire groups in the way you tell stories and interpret important and beautiful artefacts. You will be skilled in hosting diverse audiences - including families, adults and schools, delivering tours, answering questions and sharing the knowledge and importance of the venue and all its’ important objects and artworks.


This is a new team at a very prestigious cultural attraction and full training will be provided by international experts. The guiding team will provide skilled interpretation to the highest level to all visitors and will be ready to share these important stories with all visitors.


We are looking for bilingual guides who either speak; Arabic & English, Russian & English or Chinese & English. Emirati nationals are especially encouraged to apply.

To register interest in the role, candidates are required to apply before the 1st of February 2019, with a resume and one-page covering letter detailing their experience and clearly demonstrating their genuine passion for the role.


Successful candidates will be invited to interview on the 7th, 8th or 9th of February.


Please note, the opening season will begin on March 1st, therefore candidates must be available to attend the interview on one of the dates above and be prepared to start training on February 17th.


Information on contract & remuneration
- 12-month fixed term contract with 3 month probation period.
- Working hours will be based on the full-time equivalent of 40 hours per week, with both full and part-time options being offered. Flexible working will be required.
- A lump-sum payment will be made for completion of the mandatory training sessions from 17th February - 6th March.
- Monthly salary includes Housing & Transport allowance.
- Working hours will include some weekend and Public Holiday working
- 20 days holiday allowance, additional holidays may be granted due to shut down periods of the cultural attraction, which may occasionally be at short notice.

Main Responsibilities
- To provide the highest standards of customer care and service on site, through skilled hosting and engaging storytelling.
- To passionately communicate the content of the venue in an active and memorable manner, always ensuring accuracy and respect for the artefacts.
- To demonstrate empathy and awareness when interacting with people of diverse nationalities and backgrounds, working as an ambassador for the UAE.
- To be a confident public speaker & demonstrate good Interpersonal skills.
- To work as part of a team being social, sensitive and supportive towards your fellow team members.
- To promptly and courteously deal with queries and requests as well as welcoming feedback and comments, and respond as necessary.
- To fully understand health and safety requirements and follow procedures when necessary.
- To run tours and host groups professionally and on time.
