Job Summary:
The Batching Plant Operator controls the panel board/control board to weigh and mix ingredients such as aggregates, water, cement, and admixture to produce concrete according to the approved mixed design. Coordinates with the concerned personnel e.g. Site Foreman for any concern/advise on batching operation. Conducts daily checking of batching plant including support equipment before the start of the operation. Performs calibration of the Batching Plant. Complying with QHSE procedures/policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Batch concrete according to the schedule. Ensure 100% compliance to the design mixes.
Observe gauges, dials, and operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.
Coordinates with site personnel for any concern at the site.
Conduct inspection of the Batching Plant including support equipment and coordinates with Plant Maintenance for any repair to avoid downtime during operations.
Performs the internal calibration of the batching plant and other measuring equipment and monitors next due date for external calibration.
Prepares report/documents related to batching plant operation and ensures the accuracy of the documents.
Reporting of accidents and near misses to concern person.
Self-protection by using the required PPE.
Compliance with HSE regulations
Performs other related duties as may be assigned either in support of departmental goal or for his/her personal or professional training, education or development as programmed by his/her immediate superior.
