Roles and Responsibilities


The Region HR Business Partner supports the Region CEO and Group CHRO in ensuring global HR strategies and initiatives are aligned with local and regional business needs. The Region HR BP is the front facing HR account manager and advisor for Region CEOs and GMs and provide consultation and HR support on strategic and executional staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, performance management, succession planning, budget and employee cost tracking, Shared Service administration and labor relations. Leading Country HR BPs and their teams, the Region HRBP leads global culture and engagement initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness and performance. The Region HR Business Partner participates in the development of strategic annual global plans, communicates, leads, and directs the execution of those plans across the stations in his/her Region. The Region HR BP participates on the Global Human Resources and Regional Business Leadership Teams.


• Ensure comprehensive Regional HR strategy is aligned to business needs, Regional CEO Strategy and company HR Strategy.
• Functionally leads and mentors managers and Station HRBPs to ensure the performance management system and processes are executed according to expectations and best practice.
• Consults and reviews country and line manager’s key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure they are measurable and properly aligned to business strategy and goals.
• Ensure annual training plans are set properly and linked to the region and station training budget.
• Consults with Region CEO and GMs to ensure equitable compensation and benefits scheme in the stations is well communicated and executed.
• Leads roll out/launch/execution of HR Communication strategies and initiatives.
• Communicates region-wide employee satisfaction survey/engagement results, ensure proper actions in place in coordination with station manager, HR leader and line managers. Ensures action plans are in place with Station HRBPs
• Ensure company culture and values are communicated and practiced
• Leads company strategic projects and cascades it to the country HR business partners
• Review the training plan regularly and ensure implementation.
• Analyze HR reports and dashboards for their region to identify reasons for regretted leavers, cost implications and propose an action plan. Presents analytics to Region CEOS and GMs so that appropriate actions can be taken.
• Leads the Regional succession planning process with the Region CEO and tracks talent list including critical roles.
• Works with global C&B as well as station HR to set an adequate bonus scheme linked to station and individual performance in line with station annual bonus budget.
• Mentor and coach to develop station HR team leaders to become active HR Business Partners.
• Ensure HR leaders are setting proper manpower plans and supporting them to get best quality on time to cater to the business needs.
• Develop and maintain the HR’s response and recovery plan during a disruptive incident, using the tools and templates provided by the local business continuity coordinator working within the BIE team.
• Ensure quality of services provided by the HR leaders is satisfactory.
• Propose creative initiatives to increase employee motivation and engagement
• Ensure all HR approvals are aligned with the authority matrix framework.
• Coordinate with the corporate total rewards manager for any newly created jobs to create grade in line with the corporate standard
• Ensure the proper implementation of the company HR strategy in the stations through the stations HR leaders
• Ensure the proper implementation of any HR system initiative in your region
• Ensure adhering to company HSSE, compliance and sustainably standards
• Analyze market salary data and propose recommendations to regional CEO, Country manager and country HR business partner to retain talents in line with the companies HR strategy.
• Coordinate with the local country HR when updating or creating new salary scales
• Ensure compliance with Local labour laws
• Ensure station HR/training passes all company audits.
• Facilitate the flow of information horizontally and vertically
• Contribute to the proper implementation of the CSR initiatives where applicable.
• Ensure adherence to the company HSS policies
• Ensure providing recommendations for tailoring the HR system to accommodate to the local labour law and station needs
• Ensure Performance reviews are done on time and KPI’s set are measurable.
• Ensure all audit findings are addressed in the stations
• Ensure staff and recruitment cost is aligned with the budget and forecast.
• Ensure service providers are in line with the company standards and cost ratios
• Assist the station HR leader in setting the training, recruitment and bonus budget
• Ensure salary survey budget is set and approved by the regional CEO before its communicated to the Corporate Total Rewards Manager
