To supervise the procurement executives team and ensure that all purchase orders, vendor registrations, payment approvals are executed in strict compliance with the organisational processes and policies and delivered as per the agreed SLA time lines agreed with Business units and departments

Description

  • Keep a daily tracking of all business units requests for quotation through the ticketing system and assign them to the appropriate sourcing team members


  • Keep track of the central pool of approved purchase requisitions in JDE and ensure that procurement executives turn them into purchase orders as per the department SLA timelines
  • Act as a first approver of all purchase orders to validate that all supporting documents are attached and POs are issued in accordance to the procurement policies and procedures
  • Keep a master record of all contracts / agreements with suppliers and alert sourcing team on renewals
  • Keep record of all supplier registration and code of conducts documents
  • Coordinate with sourcing team and procurement executive to maintain an up to date catalogue items in JDEs based on the blanket agreements that have been put in place
  • Generate weekly reports for the Group head of Procurement (PR to PO lead time, payment terms, open POs etc. )
  • Hold weekly meetings with procurement executive team to review performance and address issues, identify process improvement opportunities
  • Prepare quarterly reports / newsletters of procurement performance
  • Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives. \[ Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and ensure focus on priorities and compliance with SLA commitments



  • Profile
  • Graduate preferably with a finance background
  • Minimum of 5-6 years relevant experience within the procurement function with 1 to 2 years evolving on a supervisory role
  • Analytic skills
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can do attitude and importance to details
  • Familiar with ERP systems
  • Experience working within a central procurement function environment
