A Global Asset Manager is looking for a Fund Manager to join their Dubai Office.
The role works with the investment management team, but will take responsibility for the fund's mandates and performance. The strategies cover a range of markets including targeted long / short global equity positions, options strategies, 'macro views' etc.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to develop markets outlook and corresponding investment theses within an asset-allocation team across discretionary multi-assets portfolios.
- Assist qualitative and quantitative research projects to select investments (stocks, fixed income, currencies and commodities) as well as to support the due diligence process for the discretionary portfolios.
- Contribute to the asset allocation, investment strategy oversight/development and execution of the range of absolute return funds within the fund structure.
Requirements- 5+ years experience as an analyst, portfolio manager, portfolio strategist and/or extensive industry experience preferred.
- Finance or Accounting or Other Quantitative Bachelor's degree and/or MBA preferred.
- CFA or actively pursuing CFA designation.
- Deep understanding of the global capital markets opportunity set, including the risk/return characteristics of major asset classes, such as equities, rates, credit, real estate and currencies.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and other software programs (Risk Management Software, Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, etc.)
