Ensure technicians are doing the job as per the manufacturer’s
standard job time and monitor the individual technician’s performance.
Prepare preventive maintenance plans for all organizational assets under his responsibility and follow through on executing the plan on time without delay, ensuring all resources are made available on the planned time.
Ensure that all service work is being done after thorough inspection that will determine the job description which will be prepared by the supervisor and ensure that the job is done to the
desired quality by inspecting the equipment before closing the job.
Approving all parts and consumables orders from technicians applying best industry practices for parts reusability, and review technicians’ orders ensuring that all job requirements are ordered after the parts survey as per standard.
Ensure all resources are available for technicians to carry out the job assigned to them such as and not limited to: spare parts, tools and workshop equipment, consumables, service manuals, parts catalogue.
Apply, enforce and teach technicians HSE regulations related to workplace safety rules and regulations ensuring no accidents take place
in the workshop.
Keep a record for each technician’s working hours on each job and be able to provide technician utilization hours compared to standard time for any period of time.
He has the responsibility to provide and/or organize technical training for technicians in different specializations as per department plan.
He will motivate, encourage, coach, set example, create healthy work environment etc. in the workplace.
