The Transport Manager will be a valuable resource who is able to effectively support the TTP team with the service design, day-to-day operations, integrated planning as well as developing key TTP systems, policies and procedures and generally Event Operations’ requirements.
The main responsibilities in this role will include:
- Lead in the planning and Project Management of the TTP function to make sure management reports on the progress and status of the projects are prepared;
- Take the lead role in Project Planning, Project Costing, Project Budget and Project Contract Management;
- Efficiently manage transport service providers including, but not limited to, cost effectiveness, control of expenditure, service excellence and purchase order management using SAP;
- Oversees cost control and KPI performance, actively seeking to improve efficiency, reduce operating costs;
- Project manage all TTP work streams milestones, own the risks and issue log to ensure it is well integrated with the Expo 2020 central project management team;
- Update and develop the Event Operations service model, guest group demand model;
- Champions a 'customer first’ approach. Understands and appreciates customer requirements and quality standards. Engages with internal and external customers to meet and exceed customer expectations;
- Follow up on the concepts and proposals approved by clients and put them into reality;
- Organize the TTP FA to assist in developing short and medium term plans to ensure all Service Groups are integrated both within the department and across Expo organization;
- Oversee contractual obligations between Expo and service providers ensuring that invoicing and service entry sheets are completed in a timely manner;
- Work Shifts including night to fulfil operational manager roles within the MOC and Fleet Depot.
