Human Resources Director - Corporate Support

We are currently searching for a Human Resources Director to join our team based in our Dubai, United Arab Emirates office.


The Human Resources Director contributes to the success of the company by providing strategic and operational leadership in planning, developing, implementing, promoting and evaluating the effectiveness of the organisations HR strategies, procedures and initiatives.


As a senior member of the company, the Human Resources Director oversees our International HR operations across each of our locations which include United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, London and South Africa and directly supervises our Human Resources Managers within each location and function.


The correct individual must be able demonstrate progression in their career as a Human Resources professional, with a minimum of 20+ years’ experience. You will currently be working as an International HR leader within a major multinational organisation, with specific experience related to our international operation locations, in particular the Middle East.


Your career profile will demonstrate how you have successfully managed and driven operational excellence and most importantly the planning and execution of major change initiatives towards the delivery of global transformation in your most recent position.


The Human Resources Director will be accountable for and able to demonstrate the following experience:


Responsibilities



  • Developing and maintaining an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.

  • Partnering with senior leadership teams to understand the long-term organisational objectives, identify areas of opportunity and implement Human Resources interventions needed to meet the short and long-term growth strategies.

  • Designing, developing and executing best-practice initiatives for core human resources policies and programs, including succession and career planning, performance appraisals, learning and development, talent acquisition, onboarding and employee retention.

  • The provision of advice and recommendations to senior leadership teams and departmental managers on matters relating to human resources issues.

  • Understand the essence of acting as a change agent and demonstrates the planning, delivery and implementation of international transformation initiatives that build operational excellence, behaviour and cultural change.

  • Supervising the development and maintenance of actionable, proactive metrics that drive forecasting capabilities and strategic insights.

  • Overseeing and providing strong mentorship focussing on the development of the human resources team through effective training, coaching and team building.

  • Overseeing the management of the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring security and accuracy of employee records, consistency of practice and maintenance of optimum service levels.

  • Ensuring effective compensation and benefit policies, practices are in place and best practice is being followed diligently throughout the company.

  • Administering collective agreements and company policies, including representing the company in the grievance/arbitration procedure for assigned grievances. The individual must be able to demonstrate a wide range of knowledge related to local and international labour law across the Middle East, United Kingdom and South Africa.

  • Overseeing and managing the departmental international budget for expenditure
