§ Diagnoses and
treats a variety of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries by performing constructive
and reconstructive surgery of the ankle, foot, elbow, knee, hip or shoulder to deliver
requisite patient care and address their medical requirements.
§ Liaises with
patients and performs specialized testing as well as further examination of the
physical condition to fully address the illness/medical complaint and implement
the necessary treatment plan for patient recovery.
§ Examines patients and
undertakes physical examinations while advising on requisite procedures such as
X-Rays, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRIs) or other required tests to fully
identify the root cause of medical problems.
§ Implements identified
treatment plans for patients in a timely manner in order address the medical
issue and minimize risk to the patient’s health.
§ Provides inputs to clinical/administrative
staff (such as Nurses, Patient Liaison, Insurance Coordinators) and supports them in the completion of
documentation for facilitating approvals with respect to treatments, surgeries,
medical procedures and investigation in order to address the medical problems
of the patients immediately, preventing the worsening of patient’s medical
condition.
§ Collaborates and
communicates with internal staff on matters of urgent surgery regarding the status of approval and
booking of surgery rooms and timings in order to ensure that supporting
personnel are notified of surgery and/or procedures.
§ Plans specialized
after-surgery care and monitors recovery of patients while clarifying their doubts/queries,
answering questions and coordinating follow-up medical support with DBAJ staff
for continued patient care.
§ Manages record
keeping, patient charts, other required surgical and hospital records and
drives maintenance of patient information as mandated by Dubai Healthcare City Centre
for Healthcare Planning and Quality (CPQ) and in line with other international
standards of patient care.
§ Keeps abreast with
latest developments in the field of medicine/healthcare and continuously
enhances and updates medical education and skills through requisite license
renewals and professional trainings with an aim to stay up-to-date with
contemporary medical practices.
