Business Manager - Manpower Middle East

Our client is now recruiting for a General Manager/ Business Manager to based in Egypt. You will be directly reporting to the Market Sales Manager - ME & Egypt


Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role


• Implement the WILG strategy for the country by translating it into clear plans for the JV Board and the Distributor partner. Support strategy development activities within country to serve sustainable long term value creation target of the company.
• Drive delivery of country financial performance targets for all sales channels including Volume, RCOP, Cash, GM, Overdue and TCC’s.
• Deliver country HSSE performance targets through influencing the partner to adopt relevant HSSE practices and driving the culture of safety in all operations and ensure safety is the number one priority for all employees of JV and the partner.
• Lead, coach, motivate and manage partner’s GM to achieve the targeted performance metrics & scorecard items as per Annual Business Plans, and conduct regular business reviews with all channels, ensuring each channel manager has a corresponding business plan for delivery.
• Manage functional interactions and cluster/regional level relationships
• Develop and deliver simple and standard processes in line with agreement with the JV and the in country partner for all operations and functions.
• Agree and implement the JV and partner resources allocations for the country in line with Board requirements to ensure strategic priorities are fulfilled.
• Manage high level senior relationships with JV Partner, Distributor Leadership and major customers within the country.
• Influence the partner to develop local sales succession plans by building a robust talent pipeline, growing leadership capability and technical expertise, establishing a culture of excellence and high performance.
• Develop and implement a systematic approach through the embedding of relevant OMS elements and ensuring appropriate risk reviews are undertaken appropriately.
• Improve and deliver customer experience in targeted sectors and customer groups. Ensure delivery of our promises by seeking continuous improvement and efficiency in all operations making sure the voice of the customer is represented in every decision we make. Drive standardisation of our sales offers in line with our basic customer offer.
• Ensure that all activities conducted through 3rd parties or intermediaries in country comply fully with our own CoC and local competition legalisation. Ensure compliance with country regulations, company’s Group, Segment and regional policies and standards (e.g. Picasso).


Key challenges faced on the role


• Delivering the WILG strategy through a partner organisation. The key challenge is managing the operations through influence without direct control over the operations or the people. Ability to manage complex and conflicting demands to ensure both in year financial delivery and long term value growth is key to the role.


• Leading the JV and the partner by building effective relationships and agreements ensuring strategic focus is maintained and financial targets delivered for Automotive and Industrial heritage business giving appropriate attention to each sales channel and building the jobholders own capability as necessary to be effective in an integrated sales leadership role.


• Ensuring we develop and retain the right balance of experience, capability and focus in the organisation to deliver the agreed distinct sales channel strategies.


• Embedding simple and standardised processes within the business ensuring efficiency & effectiveness agenda is delivered.


• Managing multiple priorities and influencing allocation of resources appropriately to maximise longer term value whilst meeting in year financial targets


• Making interventions where required to ensure in year financial performance is delivered by coordinating in country functional support activities to reach an aligned position.


• Drives for high performing in-country sales teams, identifying and addressing capability gaps and supporting employee development. Champions and embeds world class and technical value selling techniques and processes.
