- Liaise on a daily basis with clients and the media, often via telephone and email
- Relationship building and networking with colleagues, clients and the media
- Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires and blogs, for opportunities for the clients
- Work as part of an account team to develop client proposals and implement the PR activity
- Prepare regular client reports and attend client meetings
- Research, liaise the writing of press materials and distribute press releases to targeted media
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key business journalists in national and trade publications
- Pitch stories to both national and local media.
- Achieve highest visibility for in print, broadcast, TV, online and social media outlets
- Write clear and compelling pitch letters
- Liaise with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organisations
- Devise and coordinate photo opportunities
- Collate and analyze media coverage
- Promote news stories and features to the media
- Collate, analyze and evaluate media coverage
- Event management, including press conferences and promotional events
- Attend and promote client events to the media
- Assist with the production of client publications, such as in-house magazines
- Commissioning market research
- Coordinating studio or location photography
- Undertaking research for new business proposals and presenting to potential new clients
- Source and manage speaking and sponsorship opportunities for the clients
