Job Role:
Escorts patient to examination room, obtains pertinent information regarding reason for visit,
assists patient with preparation for examination, take vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure) and records in medical chart, and takes urine samples when indicated
Prepares patients for treatment procedures or examinations to be performed
Performs pediatric evaluations including vision and hearing assessments
Provides basic diabetic education including teaching home monitoring, insulin injections and foot care
Performs direct patient care services under the supervision of the provider
Performs procedures such as EKG’s, phlebotomy, injections, hearing and vision tests
Performs and document patient phone triage and advice, medication refills as directed by provider, immunizations, update of medication and problem lists
